Jennifer Held leads the firm’s litigation department. She graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree, earning a spot on the Dean’s List. She went on to attend Touro Law School in New York, where she was recognized for her outstanding academic performance.
While at Touro, Jennifer also served as Vice-President of the Women’s Bar Association and was awarded the prestigious Cali Award for her academic excellence in criminal procedure. Jennifer’s legal career began with internships at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. She was then hired by the renowned criminal defense attorney Neil B. Checkman, Esq.
Jennifer is a member of several legal organizations, including the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Brooklyn Bar Association, and the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association. Additionally, she is admitted to the New York State Bar, the United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York, the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
